Thanksgiving - Part 2

I forgot the other thing I love about Thanksgiving when writing my last post...a short work week! This year I was able to take off the Wednesday before also so we could get a head start on our travels. We loaded up after dinner on Tuesday night and hit the road to Jackson, Tennessee. Bailey was, as is usual, a great traveler. We listened to her Cinderella CD for a little bit, then she talked to herself and her lamby and finally fell asleep for about the last 2 hours of the trip. We usually stay with Nick's dad, but this year we stayed at his grandparents house, which was fantastic because we had our own room and bathroom! It's the little things when you're staying in someone else's house for 4 nights that make you happy.

There were a TON of people at the house for our Thanksgiving meal. We counted off after saying the prayer, and I think the total was around 36. Some were family and some were just friends, but everyone is always welcome. They're the type of family that will invite you over without even thinking, no matter how many people are already there. There were lots of kids running around for Bailey to play with, which she really enjoyed.

Here's a shot of the family - minus Bailey, this was taken really late and she was in bed already.

While we were down there we also had some family photos taken.

We had a great time seeing his family, since we only get to see most of them once a year. While we were down there Bailey scored some early Christmas presents. One of which was a guitar and microphone. The pictures are so good they deserve their own post! It's coming next.
