The Small Things

It's amazing how a seemingly very small act can remind you how fast your child is growing up. Something that a passerby wouldn't think twice about can put a smile on your face and tear in your heart. Last night while cooking, here is what Bailey was doing.

I know, looks innocent and I'm sure no one else would notice the significance. But to me, I just had to get the camera and capture my little girl. There was a time when Bailey would cry and throw a fit if I was cooking instead of playing with her. There was a time when she could barely see over the table. But look at her now.

Sitting and coloring, and reading letters off of an old grocery list, while I made dinner last night. She did this for a good 30 minutes. It was so nice just to be able to talk to her while I made dinner for us and she was completely entertained.
